Please be very wary of some walks in this book, particularly walk 37 - Roman Steps. The walk is enjoyable for approximately the 1st half, the instructions then instruct to leave the forest, past some ruins (easily identifiable). At this point the instructions become very vague; keep cliffs well to the left and the footbridge of Llyn Trawsfynydd at five past the hour. Fortunately we had a OS map with us as the instructions then go on to read that there is no obvious footpath. Be very wary of this as the grassy moor that you walk across is in fact very boggy and extremely difficult to traverse. When we did this on Friday 29th April there had been no rain for some considerable time and the visibility was extremely good. Do not attempt this crossing in poor visibility and/or wet conditions. The book was very poor and shoud have explained this. Furthermore, the descent at the end of the walk to the car park was extremely difficult with the path disappearing.
