dissapointed by grumble bee from BRISTOL, 28/04/2012
To be fair I have only done one of the walks the shorter Nunny walk. I chose this walk as we have two young children. The woodland river and Castle sounded idyllic, as did the child friendly pub. The Castle was great, the walk itself rather dull and at times unpleasant. The wooded river was more stream through a copse alongside a sewage treatment plant....parts of the V muddy path disappeared into the stream. Two thirds of the walk were through farmland a few of the fields we traversed full of young and quite aggressive young cows!! Thanks to 2 strapping men who kept the rearing cows away from us. we were able to complete the last mile of the walk. There was not much to see, must have missed the vantage point and saw little wildlife. Then to top it off at the end of the walk the child friendly pub, where we had planned to have a well earned lunch......did not permit children under 14!!! I question the level of research put into this book!!
